Mellow Mushroom Knoxville

I absolutely love Mellow Mushroom, it’s one of my go to restaurants. I absolutely love that they accommodate my gluten free allergy. They take all safety precautions into consideration when it comes to gluten free foods. They have several gluten free pizza options and a gluten free brownie! Not to mention their friendly service!

Our group of 8 visited Mellow Mushroom after a judo tournament at the university. The staff was super friendly and pretty attentive. The decore and food names were amusing. I had no problem bringing high school kids here. I think smaller kids would be fine, too. The whole "Mellow Mushroom" thing isn't offensive or risqué unless you make it that way. I loved my hoagie. I got the full order, and there was tons of meat. My husband got a calzone. Read the ingredients on the menu before you order. His food was super yummy, but not what you would call traditional. My daughter got a small pizza and took a bunch home. Our friends had gluten-free pizza, and they said it was very good...better than most they've had. Parking is the only thing I didn't like, but for being near a university, it was actually better than I expected. They had a small lot with tight spaces. I'd go back again.
