Merriman's Big Island

We had an unforgettable dining experience at Merriman’s Waimea. The service was top-notch—attentive, thoughtful, and especially accommodating of my gluten allergy, which made the evening feel even more special. The food was outstanding: we enjoyed the perfectly cooked steak and the fresh catch of the day, both of which paired beautifully with their excellent wine and cocktails. As a lovely surprise, we were also treated to a complimentary dessert. From start to finish, it was a memorable evening. Highly recommend!

GLUTEN FREE REVEIW - Celiac Disease Farm to table restaurant with excellent food and service. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided me with plenty of information on what I could and couldn’t eat. She even informed me that they have a shared fryer but an accommodation could be made by not frying something or omitting it completely if it came on an entree I chose. When she brought out my husband’s gluten containing food she would remind me that his is unsafe to eat so no sharing. A second server brought out our entree and they knew mine was gluten free specifically compared to my husbands. It is pricy (and there aren’t a ton of GF options) but well worth it if it is in your budget for the experience.
