Metropole Cafe

Service was amazing, friendly staff, quick and professional. Food and coffee great. Lots of gluten free options. Juice was great too!

🌧️ Sydney always surprises with its endless list of cafés, and on this rainy day, I decided to finally stop for coffee at QVB — a place I’ve walked past so many times. I wasn’t sure which café to choose. The first one I tried was already closing, but luckily The Metropole was still open. It was warm, cozy, and beautifully decorated — exactly what you want on a rainy afternoon. Their cake selection looked amazing, so I sat down for a mocha and a gluten-free cake. I’m not used to strong coffee anymore, and this one had a bold, dark roast that true coffee lovers will appreciate. Even though it was stronger than my usual dirty chai, I enjoyed the experience. The GF cake was absolutely delicious — just like in the display. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and great presentation. Another café added to my Sydney list! ☕🍰

I always come here when I’m in the city. Gluten free lemon tart and a chai everytime.
