This bustling eatery offers a warm, old-school country vibe with a lively breakfast crowd and attentive, prompt service. However, gluten-free diners will find limited options and some menu items contain flour, making it less ideal for strict gluten-free needs.

The HEALTH FOOD is a fun way to start the day with some pinon coffee and the famous apple fritters (the best I literally have ever had in any town, state, or country!) But get there early, all bakery items sell out each day. My wife and kids usually get the smothered hashbrowns or the stuffed sopapillas- we usually get Christmas (half red/ half green sauce) and my veggie people always get the vegetarian sauce (which does have gluten fyi). There is no better Authentic New Mexican food spot I've ever had and lived years in parts of New Mexico. Easily top 5 restaurants ever eaten at in the world.

Came with a large family group for breakfast, it’s a busy place! They have fresh baked goods, family shared a giant cinnamon roll. Huge menu with a lot of variety. For the gluten free people there are still options, no gf bread that I know of but I had huevos rancheros with Xmas sauce (very good!). Carla was awesome and on the ball, would definitely come again and recommend!

The line is handled inefficiently leading to longer wait times than necessary. Food took a long time to reach the table, though it was good once it came. Also if you have anyone gluten-free in your party, I recommend looking elsewhere. We were told that both red and green chiles contained flour, for example. There are not many options for the gluten-free folks. Servers were prompt and helpful, food pretty good, but it isn't enough to overcome the long wait and lack of options for special diets.
