Milestones

The service was great. The staff was very friendly. The menu is promising, and there's a wide selection, including vegan and gluten-free options. Unfortunately, the food was only okay. The portions were large and it looked great. However, the meat and fish were a bit dry, and all the dishes lacked sauce. If this could be improved, it would definitely be recommended :)

What a fantastic restaurant! I was staying across the street at the Chateau Laurier and Milestones smelled so delicious that I decided to give it a try on a whim. I'm so glad I did! Also very happy that I was able to get a seat on the patio, which was a lovely experience. Even though the street was busy, the patio was quiet enough to have a nice conversation. Kenzi (apologies for spelling errors!) was an amazing waitress who very patiently answered my questions and recommended the black cod, which was out of this world. She also carefully ensured that my dining companion and I had no problems with food allergies, including the need for a gluten free dish (a medical requirement for my dining companion). The passionfruit mule was also excellent, probably one of the best mules I've had and the mule is one of my favorite cocktails, so that is high praise. My only regret is that I didn't have time to go back for another meal during this trip, but I will certainly be back the next time I'm in Ottawa!
