Holy guacamole that place was awesone. Food was delicious, I have to eat gluten-free, and was so happily suprise with the gran variety of gluten-free plate. They even make everything separate so it is celiac friendly. They have a color coded plate system to know what has gluten or not. Chef personally came to us multiple times ,making sure our experience was the best. He even took the time to explain how to choose my wime since I have an intolerance to sulfites (choose the one that don't say : added sulfite. They all have some, its part of the fermentation process, but the one that says added sulfite have extra in it which is what makes me react) do friendly and professional, he definitely knows his stuffs and his place. Delicious and recommended to anyone visiting ottawa like us, or just locals. Love it !

This place is one of the best allergy friendly spots in Ottawa- I am a coeliac, vegan and allergic to soy. The Joy of Gluten free offers great products for everyone who has severe dietary restrictions. On a screwed up day - I visited the store on public transit ( beyond one hour) and it was worth every effort. The owner (Susan) is one of the most humbled humans- I came across. Thank you for a great business and supporting a great cause in Ottawa. It takes creativity to be innovative and unconventional. Will see you soon again! (Vegan waffles and quinoa cookie - simply yumilicious- I enjoyed them on the big lovely red chair :))

Very reasonably priced and the food was quite tasty. Lots of vegan and gluten free options which was awesome! It's usually impossible to find gluten free deep fried food.

Went as a group of four and it was a great experience! I got the vegan, gluten free combo plate and it was AMAZING and at a great price too. Highly recommend this spot — and their injera was so fresh! 🙌
