My husband and I went to Nan Thai last night for dinner; we were celebrating his birthday but I felt like it was my birthday too! We don’t eat Thai food often, but Nan Thai hands was by far the best That restaurant we have ever been to. From the moment we walked in our dining experience began. Our server Anamaki (please forgive me if I misspelled her name) was so good, she knew the menu, made recommendations, and asked if we had any food aversions. When I told I had a gluten intolerance, she immediately offered a substitute.
I had gluten free spring rolls, lemongrass soup with seafood, and lobster Pad Thai. My husband had lobster coconut soup, calamari, and an entree full of seafood, with an ample sized lobster tail—everything was expertly seasoned, without the need for salt or pepper. From the first bite, oohs, aahs, abounded; between what I ordered and what my husband ordered we were equally pleased. There was no long wait for our food to arrive, the wait staff cleared our table frequently, and water glasses were never empty. I tend to go on and on in my reviews for a reason- when I give five stars I want to tell you why. Everything about this restaurant lived up to its Nan Thai Fine Dining name. A day later we are still talking about the meal! My anniversary is in April, I have already booked my reservation.Lastly, dessert was good- Creme brûlée, caramel flan and coconut ice cream. A nice, creamy way to end the best meal we’ve had in a long time. Thank you Nan Thai for the wonderful evening. We’ll see you soon.
