The atmosphere is pleasant with the option to dine inside or outside. It was hard to converse indoors because the ceiling was high and had exposed pipes creating a lot of echoes. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. As for the food, the people in my party ordered eggs and bialys or bagels and were satisfied with their meals. I had an everything bagel with lox and cream cheese. As a native New Yorker, I was disappointed in the texture of the bagel. I’ve had grocery store bought bagels that were closer to a traditional bagel than what I was served. The bagel that I received was toasted and had the consistency of a toasted slice of Wonder Bread. Normally, a bagel has a chewy firm texture, but this one did not come close to passing for a bagel. I suspect that it may have been gluten free and not boiled. Given that this restaurant’s featured food items are bagels and bialys I was hoping for a real bagel. Einstein Brothers have them beat when it comes to bagels!
