Noodle 501

What a gem of a restaurant. My sister got gluten free+mild, I got regular Udon+Thai hot. Flavor, heat, service all absolutely fantastic. Restaurant is clean. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is pretty cute inside with the wall murals, and it is clearly very "woke" giving you gluten-free options and letting you know about vegetarian options, etc. The tiny metal chairs could be improved. Stylish but uncomfortable to perch on for an extended period. The coconut soup tasted good, but somehow I got mad heartburn when I got home. There was plenty of chicken inside of the large cup. The noodles were okay...nothing to write home about. My pad thai was a bit salty and lacked the essence of "pad thai" that I was craving. The summer roll was underwhelming. There was only one shrimp inside my half and I pretty much felt like a rabbit chewing on lettuce. My partner enjoyed her drunken noodles. I tried them and they were decidedly better than the pad thai, which was "fine." I cannot describe what was missing, but I've had better elsewhere.

Best Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles I've ever had! If you are gluten free, this restaurant is for you. I am extremely sensitive to cross contamination and they always take care of me. Favorite restaurant in Durham. The spice levels are great also, but let me warn you, they are REAL spice levels. 5 will burn you up if you're used to "texas pete" etc spice levels.
