Here the service is on par if not better than the food. Our waiter, patient and explaining the options, other people who came to our table with silverware or to clean very smiling ear to ear - all good signs that this place keeps their people happy.
The food was a standard Californian fare with good mix of some vegetarian options. If you're gluten free and/or vegan, there is not much here for you. As vegetarians, everything we ordered tasted wonderful. The appetizers fill you up and we had difficulty finishing our two entrees we shared between us three. The butter beans with feta, vegetables stew, paparadelle pasta made vegetarian and flatbread were good.
We didn't have reservations but we got a table on the sidewalk next to the covered street section. We had heaters behind and on top of the table but the San Francisco winds made the dining uncomfortable. If you can, avoid the sidewalk seating.
