This vegan spot offers a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere with stylish bathrooms and friendly, attentive service. While the menu is creative and fun, gluten-free diners should be cautious due to potential cross-contamination concerns despite the variety of options.

One of the best restaurants you’ll find, and it just happens to be vegan and mostly gluten free. The service is friendly and attentive. The menu is fun and unique and everything we tried was excellent (ordered seconds of the dumplings!). Plates are sharable so you can try a little of a lot of different things. The drink menu is limited but well curated. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming. Bonus, the bathrooms are stylish! I would visit Pittsburgh again just to eat here.

Sweet. Onion Maiden hits the sweet spot between serious and silly. The names of the dishes are silly dad jokes but the food is seriously delicious and precise. Our party included vegans, lactose intolerant and celiacs. But the incredible staff at Onion Maiden handled it all very well. Plus, everything tasted great! I think my favorite thing was the service as our waitress was possibly the best waitress I have ever encountered!
