Tasted like we were back in Italy. There’s a reason Osteria Amore is so hard to get into. Our first visit here was fantastic, eating dinner as a family before going to a Christmas performance. Lots of exclamations about the pasta and pizza tasting like such and such a place in Florence or Rome. The service was amazing too.
The signature pasta dish (Osteria Amore) was fantastic, the lasagne made from the bolognese is delicious because it’s piping hot and sitting in a bath of sauce, and the Casa Pizza had everyone reminded of eating at Ciro and Sons in Florence. The beets and buffalo were perfect too. Bravo. Easily the best Italian we’ve had in Utah (sorry Valter’s and Cucina Toscana). Thanks for offering gluten free pasta.
Two areas of improvement:
1- the prosciutto and melon shouldn’t really be offered in an off season for melon. Very average melon.
2- the panna cotta was good, but really pretty average. This should sing as the standout on the dessert menu.
Overall, fantastic addition to SLC’s growing dining scene.
