Nothing happens by chance ...! That Sunday we were supposed to go somewhere else but a detour due to construction took us to Piana degli Albanesi, a town I've always wanted to visit but had never managed to. Finding ourselves there and as a celiac it's always a dilemma to be able to eat out, I find myself instead calling this place where I'm told they have gluten-free. Believe me though, I could never have imagined being able to take "a journey through flavors"! First of all, a very welcoming and well-kept place, professional and kind staff, then the attention in explaining the various courses was very important. Then the menu and the surprise in discovering that you can order anything the same as the others in the gluten-free version is priceless! π₯°
The first course was with beef sauce, but "The Beef Sauce", as the 6-hour cooking and the addition of cocoa and cinnamon to taste gave that unique and particular taste, the best moment was the choice of pasta shape, usually I have to settle for the usual penne, here instead I was able to choose between various shapes and brands known in gluten-free for the characteristics of the pasta, I chose the rigatoni, a perfect combination with the sauce, the very tender pieces of meat, it must be said that this dish could already be a first and second course together but we also ordered the second course, a grilled meat consisting of sliced ββbeef, lamb ribs and sausage with a side of potatoes. Super good! π
Then last but not least, the gluten-free desserts, I opted for the decomposed cannolo with citrus ricotta.
What can I say? If you don't go and try it, you'll miss out on a delicious experience π―π―π―π―I can't wait to go back ππππgreetings from Marsala
