Oswego Grill - Lake Oswego

This has become my and my husband's favorite place to eat out. He and I both love to cook, and it's hard to find places to eat out where we don't walk away saying, "I think we could have saved a lot of money and made that better at home." But the food at Oswego Grill is absolutely worth going out for! They have a great range in prices, so you can go out for a more casual and less expensive dinner like fish and chips or burgers, or you can go for a fancier steak or seafood dinner with delicious side vegetables. Amazingly, the atmosphere has the ability to make you feel comfortable with either going all dressed up or in shorts and a tee shirt. I feel like that's unique, and I love it. Also, they do have gluten-free buns for anyone who needs that option!

TLDR: It's probably not a good choice if you are sensitive to gluten I really enjoy the atmosphere, but my gluten-free request was mixed up. I ordered a sandwich with a gluten-free bun, and when my food was brought to the table, it was definitely a normal bun. I asked our waitress to check. She ended up bringing me a gluten-free bun on a plate and had me swap the sandwich contents from the normal bun to the gluten-free bun at the table. This is rather unusual for a gluten-free request since you don't know a customer's sensitivity level to gluten. With the quality of restaurant and price point, I would have expected better attention to detail. Funny enough, this is the second time this has happened to me at this location, although the first time was several years ago. If you are highly sensitive to gluten, I would either avoid this location or be ready to ensure they accommodated your restriction. Everything else was wonderful about the restaurant, however, and my food was still delicious! Just a small warning for those with food allergies.
