Paradise Poke Hawaii - Nuuanu

Accidental discovery. My husband pulled in to this shopping center so he could grab a coffee next door. I wandered in here hungry and was satisfied when I left. The poke was delicious. I was so thankful they had gluten free options available. I tried 2 different kinds of poke. There are only a couple tables and it was a snug fit with another couple seated next to us. Most customers were locals taking food to go. Even a crew from a nearby construction site popped in for a bite. The musubi looked yummy. My husband ordered a lunch plate and wasn’t super impressed with his selection but such is life. What he ordered wasn’t in the realm of food he usually eats so it is not the fault of the restaurant it didn’t suit his fancy. PS. I like that it opens early during the week. Gives me an excuse to stop by on my way home from work.

I love the surf clam and scallop pokes. They’re gluten-free. The baked salmon can also be made gf and cooks to perfection—I’ve had it several times and it’s never been over cooked. It’s my go-to place for poke that’s not ahi or salmon. Always fresh and delicious.
