Quite simply superb. Lovely, welcoming staff. I only came in for a cuppa and cake, so glad that I did. Homemade profferings, yum yum. I was curious about the homemade Dorset Apple Cake, never heard of it before so I had to try it. They even offered to heat it up, I hadn't realised it was served warm. Wow, what a huge slab it was when it came! It was light, melt in the mouth, tasty, fluffy gorgeousness and, I have to say, could probably almost be the best cake I have ever eaten. Totally delicious. I must admit I was a bit shocked how badly chipped my teapot was, and that tea would even be served in such a damaged pot but this cake was just so über brilliant I'm not going to mark this brill caff down for that. Reasonably priced menu. Kids menu too. Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options available. Well, this place has to be on my return list. Highly recommended for anyone who likes good service and homemade cakes. "Fab-ewe-lars!"
