We return repeatedly to Persian Basket for the consistently excellent food (beautifully presented), lovely environment and pleasant staff. Farid, the manager, is a gracious host. One of our favorite appetizers is the mirza ghasemi, a warm smoked eggplant dish. The tabbouleh is so fresh they are able to present it with the pearl couscous on the side for me to add and my gluten-intolerant wife to avoid. The kitchen has altered recipes to cook with olive oil rather than butter. We greatly enjoy delightful Shama, who is knowledgeable about the menu and full of positive energy. She has gotten to know our preferences (and allergies), so we usually order what Shama recommends and have NEVER been disappointed.
