Pineapple Willy's

I think people come for the beachfront bar scene and that it's been here a while. We had great service that was very attentive to our group of 11. The food is so-so. It's overpriced for mediocre meals. We chose it for the gluten free menu for a child in our party.

My family of 7 came for dinner, some liked their food, I did not.. came out cold. They brought another plate out warm.. but chicken was just meh, sides were also meh. No real quality.. no homemade dressings, no real butter, no substitutions. Got charged for a side salad that I ordered as a side off the gluten free menu ( which doesn't state anything about substitutions) and got charged $5 because it doesn't count as a side for the $23 dinner I ordered. The view we had was nice and served was nice enough ( though he should have said something about the side salad not being a side). I would not come back due to prices, low quality food... Oh and the added 18 percent gratuity for my family of 7.

Thaddeus was our server and exceeded our expectations. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on. The alligator bites appetizer was delicious, as was the jambalaya. As a result of the quality of food and hs level of service is exactly why we returned the following night. Taylor, one of the hostesses, recognized us from the night before and welcomed us back. We were in Panama City for 7 nights and ate at Pineapple Willy's four times...it was THAT good! My husband who has celiac was well cared for. He enjoyed the bucket of ribs and the grilled chicken dinner. In addition to the Jambalaya, I had the Shrimp Po' Boy...loaded with popcorn shrimp on a crusty bun....chef's kiss! I also ate the Shrimp & Grits-another tasty dish! My last evening I enjoyed the Grilled Shrimp dinner. I was thoroughly impressed with every meal I ate. Service was prompt, and food was hot and delicious when brought to the table. Staff is quick to ensure your beverages are refilled. When you go, be sure to ask for Thaddeus - you won't be disappointed in the food or the service!
