Lovely place to have an independent coffee; especially good when the sun shines so that you can do a little people watching whilst sitting outside.
The inside is quite small so it is often very full but there is always the option to take the continental approach and sit outside at one of the many tables.
Poma is also a great place for an icecream or two - even better that they have gluten free cones.

Lovely little cafe on the corner opposite Wednesday market in Beverley. The range of ice creams looked amazing. Lots of homemade cakes too and I'd highly recommend the scones. I tried the plum and ginger one, amazing (no awful bicarbonate of soda after taste). Also the bacon sandwiches were very tasty and they could accommodate a gluten free diet. Coffee was good too. Definitely worth a visit if you can find a table.
