We really enjoyed this restaurant! We have young kids and we are newly gluten free, dairy free, and egg free and eating out has become more difficult than it's worth. So this was actually the 1st time in 8 months that we have eaten out. The owner was so very helpful and SO patient with all of our questions! We will definitely be back!

I’m a pescatarian that enjoys vegan food, and I was pretty impressed. I came here twice during my visit to Durham, NC. I haven’t had a breakfast sandwich with meat in it for a little over 4 years, and I would choose Pure Vegan Cafe’s southern comfort combo (with 2 sides included) over one with real meat and cheese. I also loved the uttapam (an independent dish) and the breakfast potatoes (available as a side to the southern comfort combo). The service is good and the atmosphere is nice. The cafe is pretty clean and they have some nice plants, which add to the enjoyment of eating here. I don’t have any food allergies, but if I did, they have a menu with nut-free and gluten-free options marked on it so I could still enjoy their food. Overall, I recommend this place.
