Red Salt is AMAZING! My fiancé and I ate here several times while in Kauai and we had incredible meals and service every time. The sushi was to die for. Most of the fish is sourced locally. The sushi chefs are top notch. I have celiac and they made me the best rainbow roll I’ve ever had. We fell in love with Jojo, who was our server twice. She’s awesome in every way. We also became friends with Matty, who gave us tips on Red Salt’s most delicious dishes and great spots on the island. Matty’s recommendations were so spot on that we were surprised he didn’t work in the restaurant itself. He’s so personable! The manager, Jonathan was wonderful too. We highly recommend Red Salt. It was our favorite place to eat in Kauai.

We ate here multiple times while staying in the hotel, both breakfast and dinner. The food is decent but not great. The presentation is impressive, but not so much the taste. Definitely not worth the price, but given limited options in the area it became our staple. I have to note though, the bacon is amazing, best part of breakfasts. Sushi is on the better side too, although also overpriced. Regular entrées were ok at best, we cook way better short ribs ourselves and I rarely leave pieces of filet on the plate, but this one just made me unhappy. The breakfast crew and the sushi bar staff are a delight. Everyone is super nice and chatty. Their dinner system is a bit bizarre. Unless you reserve the table it is not possible to eat other than at the sushi bar (first come first served). It doesn't matter how many open tables there physically are, that's just the rule. Gluten free options are marked in the menu but are very, very limited. Breakfast has an option of gluten free toast. I didn't take photos this time, given it's a hotel my phone was always charging or transferring data.
