The first time we ate at Rosetta last week the food was delicious and the service wonderful with our waiter Ivan. On Wednesday we went again and I ordered what an inattentive waiter said was gluten free gnocchi. The waiter neglected to tell me that if you want it gluten free what you get is a tiny portion of gluey gnocchi with no flavor and no anchovies because they fry the anchovies with flour. I would not have ordered this insipid dish if I had known. The waiter never returned to our table and when I said something to the woman who came to collect the credit card she said, next time tell us. Who would I have told? Our waiter was busy giving other diners long and informative explanations of the food and pouring them tastes of 5 wines for them to choose which to buy. The woman who took the card didn't offer to comp my meal or even the dessert, which was the only thing that saved this experience. The dish that I received shouldn't come out of any restaurant kitchen much less that of what is considered to be one of the best restaurants in the world.

This is the second time I come. I did not love it the first time so I wanted to give it a second chance. It was a bit better but one of the dishes (the tamales) was not flavorful. The other one was too salty. But the second time was better. Both desserts that Ive tried were good (helado de aguacate and hoja santa) and both were gluten free. On the positive side, they are very aware of celiac disease. They had gluten free bread and the waiter indicated all dishes that are GF. They have also two pasta options gluten free. Overall good experience but not sure if it is one of the top 50 restaurants that I’ve been in Latam.
