Overall our experience was fine but there were definitely a few niggling issues. We were greeted by a lovely man who seemed to be running bar and floor by himself before the Friday night shift staff came in. He was very good at what he did and it was super quiet when we arrived so we were very well looked after by him. But 10 minutes later his shift ended and that's where things went a bit downhill. It still wasn't that busy but our starters still took 25-30 mins to come out. The girl behind the bar is clearly a bartender, not a waitress, and doesn't really know how to wait tables. The starters were overall nice, only complaint is that the nachos were not well seasoned and the BBQ skewers weren't what we were expecting. The BBQ sauce is killer though! Our mains then came along but the bartender/waitress didn't even clear our starter plates, even after our mains were delivered. My Korean BBQ burger was amazing and the chips were so fresh, but the gluten free chicken burger was quite dry. The bread was solid and the chicken was dry (we know GF can be a bit dry but this was extra) so we utilised the leftover BBQ sauce from our starters, and they forgot the crispy bacon but this was rectified (again after a bit of a wait). Not a minute after finishing our last mouthful, we were asked to settle our tab quite abruptly and weren't even offered a bill to look at first! We had at least 30 mins of our booked table left, but I'm guessing as it's Friday night they wanted us settled up before it got too busy. The bartender/waitress was wandering around vaping and I then had to ask for our table to be cleared off all food dishes, so we could order another cocktail (all were yummy but we noticed the use of a can of old Jamaica ginger beer rather than the menus described fever tree) before leaving. So yeah overall the food was good and we liked our cocktails, but I do wonder why places offer food without putting actual wait staff on the floor, especially on a busy Friday night! We'd probably come back, but maybe for a quieter day/lunch time meal.
