Ristorante Pizzeria La Rosa dei Venti

I booked a table for 2 for tonight, which is Friday. I asked if gluten free pasta was available as reported on the website: they answered that on weekends they do not cook it. We booked anyway. We arrived on time and saw 2 guests leaving a table for 4 persons in the veranda; as soon as we were attended by the owner, she spoke to us very rudely offering a table inside. The guests kindly offered their table but she insisted that she didn’t want to give that table to us. It was 9pm, the table had no reservation and could have been split in two. In order to calm her bad temper, I pointed out that we had a reservation. She persisted to make us sit in a table inside. In front of such unkindness we decided to leave. She could have talked to us in a completely different way and persuade us to stay, but she decided to lose two clients.

We booked for two people at 9pm and asked for a table and asked if they had gluten-free pasta or pizza and the answer was: "we won't serve them tonight". We think that maybe there is an event or a problem and we book anyway. We arrive 5 minutes early and while waiting to be received at the entrance, we see two tables standing up outside. The lady who manages arrives and without asking anything she tells us: if there are two of you I can at most put you in. We point out to her that we have reserved, and she tells us: you can only stay inside, in a very annoyed tone. Two very kind ladies sitting at an outside table get up and tell us that we can sit there because they had finished. To which the lady replies: I won't put you there, you can stay inside if you want. To which I inform her that we don't have to stay in a restaurant if she treats us like this and in response she tells us that no one had yet paid for that table even though they had gotten up and it was for 4 and she wouldn't give it to us even though there were two of us sitting there before. and inside there were free tables for 2 and 4. We decided to leave very irritated: courtesy and respect should be the basis for any relationship, even more so in restaurant services.

Cozy restaurant, lake view. Excellent food. 3 types of pasta for celiacs with choice of toppings. Very good and helpful waitresses even though the place was full and there were only two of them. Good value for money
