Rob Dob's Restaurant & Bar

Great food and a very nice variety. They also have a gluten free menu.

We had lunch at Rob Dob’s today(Oct 2, 2020) for the first time and it was excellent! The décor was really nice and included Tiffany chandlers and a Tiffany room! In the bar there are pictures of amazing Yesteryear entertainers including Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra , Sammy Davis Jr and more. Frank Sinatra radio was softly playing throughout the restaurant which we loved! We have not been there on a Friday or Saturday night for their live music but we plan on doing that. The seating was very comfortable we ate inside at the bar, but, we could see the outdoor patio where some people were enjoying their meals and noticed that heat lamps were provided for those eating on the patio. The wait staff was great and we enjoyed talking to Betty. Whoever, the chef is did a great job preparing our lunches, the person I was with has Celiac disease and they were able to offer a variety of different gluten free foods to chose from, however, we did not see them listed on the menu. The person I was with had a Blackened Salmon “BLT” salad and I had a Grilled Chicken and Bacon Rigatoni, I ask them to hold the chicken and bacon and added shrimp, both of these dishes were excellent! I have noticed some people remarking about the food prices being high, however, I found them to be comparable to other fine dining establishments in Bloomington/Normal. Our only disappointment was not meeting Rob Dob himself. 5 Stars all the way!
