See attached photo of the pork belly “Benedict.” In my opinion, the English muffin or other carb base is an important component to a brunch benedict. This was not clearly stated in the menu other than a very small marking that the dish is gluten free. In case you were wondering, no, this plate is untouched. For some reason, the dish comes presented with (more than) half the plate empty. The server did confirm this is how the dish comes and offered a side of focaccia (extra $2). Fortunately, the elements of the Benedict they did choose to include were enjoyable. I’ve tried other dishes from Rood that I was very impressed by. The bloody mary, hash (pictured in background), and dishes on the dinner menu are all wonderful. While I hate to leave a subpar review, it’s safe to say I was underwhelmed and left feeling fleeced.

My wife and I love this spot. She is gluten free and this place has an amazingly creative menu. The food is excellent and the drinks are creative and good. Always have had great service. We go once a month.
