Rose & Crown Restaurant & Pub

To start I love the Rose and Crown. I have had many good nights here but here is what you need to know: 1.the menu is not celiac friendly. We asked the server how they cook the food to ensure it does not mix he didn’t know how it worked, it took 20 minutes for him to provide us with an answer which we all know means there is no process to cooking for celiac’s. 2. No interest in catering to kids: they had a special on which included a DJ (who was great!) but it was too loud to talk. Looking around there were families, and groups eating not partying. I asked to turn it down and they 3. My own opinion: I have had many a great night here and will be back but these bartenders need to get off their high horse and cater to the customers and not themselves. Cheers!

I always look for live music when I travel and Rose & Crown was recommended to me. Brad Brewer was playing solo guitar and vocals. Get there early to get a good seat. Not all tables are near the stage. No cover, but tips were appreciated by him. My server is celiac, so was very helpful with my dinner order because I am allergic to gluten, egg and dairy. The burger and salad were good. Great way to spend a night in Canmore.
