We got the tempura, some sushi, swordfish, bruschetta! Everything was unreal. The cocktails and mocktails were very well made too! Fully Gluten Free restaurant which was amazing for celiacs! Highly recommend.
Absolutely love Communitea Cafe in Canmore! The vibe is warm and welcoming, the food is fresh and flavourful, and there are tons of clearly marked gluten-free and vegan options. As someone with celiac disease, I felt completely safe eating here. Great service, amazing teas, and a beautiful space. Highly recommend!
I’m so disappointed to write this, but as a artisanal pizza/flatbread chaser - this flatbread truly disappointed me. Especially for the price. The fig & bison barely had any cheese on it, with two small slices missing the toppings. $60 with the gluten free cost added, did not feed two of us. We’re small people, with not very big appetites, but when you take away an inch of the crust from being almost burnt, the “medium” flatbread is now a small. Mediocre taste at best, but maybe if there were more toppings on it… upsetting for a first impression.
Amazing restaurant with great wait staff! Highly recommend to everyone! So many gluten free options on the menu! Felt very safe ordering gluten free here. Definitely recommend the GF Calamari and the blacked salmon tacos! Will definitely be back!
Food was amazing, staff was great, and what a view! My wife is celiac and she was so happy about the GF options!
If you’re traveling to the Rockies, you can’t miss this place! 🍔🍟🥗
Truly amazing meal. Fresh, great taste, excellent service, and fantastic drinks. My mom is celiac and enjoyed the risotto and I had the bison meatball pasta. You will not be dissapointed with the flavor and fresh products.
We ordered breakfast here on a beautiful Saturday morning. Got a seat outside on the patio. I had a gluten free duck Benedict and the gluten free crepe combo. Delicious and super good quality crepe (hard to find when gluten free). The duck was delicious. My partner ordered a smoked Montreal meat Benedict and he loved it too. The eggs were done to perfection (we like soft). We will be back!
Andy and his staff were very accommodating! I am Celiac and the entree’s were clearly marked. Food preparation was excellent and served properly. We felt welcomed and at ease on a busy night. Thanks!
Our server was excellent, very attentive and kind also funny and engaging. Everyone went above and beyond to get us a perfect seat for our night out. My wife is celiac and it is very hard to find a place that she can safely eat at and has excellent food and Service. This place is hard to beat in Canmore. I'd recommend it to anyone, especially with allergies.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting a lovely local breakfast café, and it exceeded my expectations. Service was excellent and the menu had a great mix breakfast favorites including vegetarian and gluten-free options. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Highly recommend!
Was a buzzing place. Not that much seating so there is a wait.
Food was tasty. A little on the spicy side.
Gluten free options available. Tacos are mixed flour and corn flour. For gluten free they prepare corn tortillas.
We were looking for a late night dinner spot on our last night in Canmore and this place did not disappoint. Wonderfully crafted cocktails and simple but well executed food. I ordered the steak frites and my girlfriend got the gluten free fish and chips. My steak was cooked perfectly and her fish and chips were crispy and delicious. We both ordered the same cocktail, The East Tea, which was made with Japanese whisky and green tea. It was delicious, refreshing and heavy on the whisky, which we appreciated lol. The atmosphere was great, we sat outside and enjoyed the music selection as well. All in all it was a great experience and a place we will definitely come back too when in the area.
My husband booked Ankor for our anniversary dinner, and I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and our experience. From the moment that we walked in the service was outstanding and the atmosphere left nothing to be desired. It was cozy, unique, welcoming, with beautiful decor including a plant wall. The staff was amazing, from the manager (Paisley) to our waitress (Barbara) to the bartender (he made the best Caesar I may have ever had) to the chef (Danny). All of them were incredibly good at their job. My husband is celiac and this was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had at a restaurant regarding gluten free. They were so knowledgeable, and it did not negatively affect his experience at all. He was still able to eat most everything, and the accommodations they made to some of the food did not at all affect the taste or quality, which takes talent. The food was incredible. And honestly, for the amount of food and drinks, and the quality of it all, I thought the prices were actually very reasonable. We will be back many times!!
Don’t usually give 5 stars but the food was fantastic and the service was super friendly! We enjoyed the bison ravioli, fresh Caesar salad and the gluten free quinoa macaroni pasta with scallops. Would definitely go back :)
This place is absolutely a hidden gem. Our server, Pierre, was super kind at walking us through the wide menu. We chose the full 7 courses, each was well thought out, cohesive and absolutely delicious. As one of us had a gluten allergy, they were super acccomodating and the gluten free options were really well done. Would definitely go again.
This was our first restaurant pick in Canmore to start off our vacation and we were very pleased. Wonderful mountainous views. Clearly a local favorite since the inside was packed with families watching sports. Our waiter Wally, was particularly friendly and inquisitive, guessing where we were from for the fun of it. He was attentive and kind. We watched him handle another couple who were not thrilled with their BBQ sandwhic, which he dealt with graciously. The food was decent (local hard cider / Granny Smith flavor was amazingly good), but it was honestly Wally that made it for us. He persuaded us to come back another night which we did, and ordered the desert he recommended- the ice cream sandwhich which was gluten free. My wife loved it. They also played Music Bingo which was fun. Please let Wally know Zach and Maegan from Arkansas (not Louisiana 😂) said hello and thank you.
Really great drinks and breakfast. Had a gluten free breakfast wrap that was so good! Vegan options for my son with allergies. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.
Overall good place. Doesn't have a huge variety of other options for vegetarians or gluten sensitive folks. Prices are pretty high and our waitress was not very friendly or accommodating. The other staff were lovely and even ran down the street to retrieve sunglasses that were lost by someone else in my group.
Good overall option to stop in when in Canmore.
Our experience at Tank310 was disappointing. The server hardly came around, never filled our waters or asked if we needed anything or wanted any more drinks. We had to wait a while for service in general and was not super helpful or accommodating with my gluten free dietary restriction (newly diagnosed celiac). I know that their menu says they cannot guarantee that there won’t be cross contamination, but overall they advertise gluten friendly bun options which lead us to believe the fillings would be gluten free. When I asked, I found out none of the available handhelds were gluten free even with the gluten free bun. Instead of offering a different sauce or option, I was told the only thing I was able to order for a meal was chicken wings. I did end up ordering their salad with chicken ($19+$9). It was mostly lettuce and not worth the price. Overall Tank310 needs to be more transparent with their menu or more accommodating with their options because we would never have gone if we had known.
To start I love the Rose and Crown. I have had many good nights here but here is what you need to know:
1.the menu is not celiac friendly. We asked the server how they cook the food to ensure it does not mix he didn’t know how it worked, it took 20 minutes for him to provide us with an answer which we all know means there is no process to cooking for celiac’s.
2. No interest in catering to kids: they had a special on which included a DJ (who was great!) but it was too loud to talk. Looking around there were families, and groups eating not partying. I asked to turn it down and they
3. My own opinion: I have had many a great night here and will be back but these bartenders need to get off their high horse and cater to the customers and not themselves.
Cheers!
Stopped in for coffee and had a great chat with our barista Dillon (sorry if we didn’t spell it correctly). Our lattes were delicious and beautiful! They carry gluten free oat milk (Oatly) too. The market was well organized and had several great food options.
I absolutely loved this restaurant! They went above and beyond to accommodate vegan and gluten-free options, and every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The staff was attentive and welcoming, making the experience even better.
We were so impressed that we’ve chosen them to cater our son’s wedding, and we couldn’t be more excited. If the catering is anything like the meal we had, it’s going to be phenomenal! Highly recommend this place for both dining and events.

We were excited to return to this restaurant as our first visit a few years ago was very good. We, however, both felt we wouldn’t return after this meal.
My spouse is Celiac and we checked their website menu for gluten free options. It did not match the current menu with very limited options. We ordered and advised of her condition. They even came to confirm other ingredients to ensure the meal would be safe. They then arrived with it and low and behold they put the naan bread (gluten) on the plate. It then brings into question their kitchen practices for a separate station or area for allergy prep etc.
My dill pickle chicken was pretty good, hence my 3 star rating. Guess I’m saying, if you don’t have any special needs go ahead and you might (I won’t guarantee anything) enjoy your meal.
Absolutely need to try out!! Had unique teas served in french press infusers, followed with some of the best risotto I’ve tried. The burger was so juicy and had a high quality gluten-free bun, and cane with the best fingerling potatoes I’ve had. Finished with a decadent flourless chocolate pavé with many different flavor and texture combinations for many different experiences. And all was 25% off for haply hour 2-5pm!!
Just got the bow valley salad delivered for work.I can't eat gluten but I love eating meat ,they added pork to my meal as a polite ask and it was sooooo good! It's great on its own but with meat to me it's even better .The food here is so good .my coworkers new favorite order spot. Thanks to whomever allowed this add! From the bottom of my tummy .
Had the homemade granola bars. Big time awesome almond flavour. A solid, wholesome square. Not a flaky fall apart bar like so many others. A Gluten Sensitive bonus as well....
Gluten free options, fast service, AMAZING RICE NOODLES, and supreme staff who were very nice and courteous. 10/10, would eat the entire menu even with celiacs disease
We came here for my sister’s birthday. Our server was very friendly and made our meal especially enjoyable. The loaded FRIES were unlike anything I’ve had anywhere else. I’m a massive fan of veggies and the sauce was awesome. The entrees were unique, which I appreciate: especially when done right! They were also very conscientious of our party’s allergies (we have both gluten and corn allergies among us). They have a big enclosed patio and the seating inside is very cute. Overall a good experience!
Absolutely love this place! Wonderful coffee, excellent service with friendly smiles despite being quite busy. Something for everyone-omnivore, vegan, dairy or gluten free, and willing to prep food just for you if you have allergies.
Waiter was very helpful with gluten free service. Even checked with the kitchen staff to make sure no cross contamination being a concern. Fish and fries was very well cooked, fish moist and fkakey. Steak done to perfection. Will definitely be back.
I ordered gluten free vegetarian pizza (delivery)and paid extra for pineapple toppings. They didn’t add pineapple at all and pizza doesn’t look like gluten free and now they are not picking up the call.
A cute cafe that makes an amazing almond milk latte! The view from the bar seating area is pretty nice too. Great for a quick bite, but they don’t offer gluten free options for those with dietary restrictions.
One of the best server experiences I've ever had. Funny and had incredible attention to detail. Gluten free burgers had a great local bun and got given drinks off their new menu coming up and was delicious.
Excellent Onigiri! They were a standout.
Kitchen uses gluten free soy sauce and most of the food is dairy free so great for people with insensitivity.
The matcha latte is really good too. Our daughter loves the fresh bubble tea (used making fresh ingredients and with coconut milk so dairy free as well). My better half thoroughly enjoyed the matcha ice cream.
We also enjoyed breakfast here and ended up visiting 3 times over our long weekend stay in Canmore and samples a good chunk of the menu and will be back!
Resos recommended!
