When we thought about having dinner at an Italian restaurant at about 6 PM I never expected a Metal dinner with Metallica and Guns’n’Roses sound blasting at our ears, so loud we could barely talk at the table. While I like both bands, when the music then turned to half an album of Eminem with repeating lyrics "which are not appropriate for kids" it was not so sweet for a family with small kids anymore but we had already ordered food.
The waiter also made us not feel welcome here at all. Well yes talking was hard with that loud music, but you could have at least tried to be more friendly. Even though the gluten free pizza was really good, we left out gluten free desserts like tiramisu (which I personally was really looking forward to) because of the uncomfortable atmosphere at the place.
And another interesting but strange thing: yes a “cuperto” or service charge is obligatory in Italy, but usually you get something for it. Bread, some olive oil, a nicely decorated table, a friendly waiter - anything… but not at this place. Prepare to pay for nothing - but a Metal/Rap Dinner blasting at your ears…
