Roy's Waikiki

Celebrated our anniversary here and Roy’s was lovely. The food is was amazing, as well as the service. Made reservations, as most places in Honolulu need a reservation to get in and there was a slight wait to our table. The misoyaki butterfish was succulent and delicious. The carpaccio, tataki, and poke was refreshing. They were able to accommodate our dietary needs for gluten free. Keep room for desserts at the end. They also gave us ice cream at the end for our celebration.

I have a dairy and gluten allergy, which makes eating at restaurants tricky. When I made our reservation online I mentioned this in the additional comments section. The server was so great - she acknowledged my allergies right off the bat and made some suggestions of dishes that could be prepared dairy/gluten free! They also had a dairy/gluten free dessert that was not on the menu. She said that their kitchen takes allergies very seriously. I had the butterfish and it was delicious! I definitely recommend if you're looking for a higher-end restaurant that can be accomodating.

Great service! Friendly staff. The food tasted excellent. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten sensitivity. Many dishes could be made gluten free. On the expensive side. Service was so fast. We were acknowledged for our 25th wedding anniversary by the hostess, the servers, and the food runners.
