Nice place for brunch. Food is good, between too healthy and healthy; plenty of options to choose from including gluten free ones. Prices are a bit high, but okay for San Miguel Allende. Services isn't great though. Staff is super friendly but they forgot some requests we made, didn't hear us when we called and so on. So be patient. The restaurant itself has a rustic style.

I have a mixed opinion about Rustica. The food and service are amazing, but the attention to allergens could be better. After asking about gluten free on the menu, I first recieved the wrong dish due to a mix up, then when I got my meal, there was a few "bread crumbs" for another dish, but I understand there is a risk in kitchens for cross contamination so I let this go. However, when ordering the dessert, I specified the "gluten free brownie" on the menu and made sure to point it out when doing so. However, when I received the bill, I noticed they had put it down as a regular brownie, I asked the waiter about this, who assured me they were the same one and it was the gluten free one I got. 2 hours layer I was incredibly sick as they had given me the wrong brownie. If you are going to list gluten free on the menu, please educate your staff on the on the seriousness of this and if you are visiting please ensure the message is clearly passed along to the staff and chefs and reconfirm when you receive the food.
