I have only had Indian food in Halifax at one restaurant and usually had only 2 or 3 different dishes. The fine people at the new Sagar Ratan, seeing I wanted to learn and explore new flavours, introduced me to their menu, explaining the nuances of the dishes, and making sure I enjoyed every bite -- and that my gluten sensitivity was looked after. These folks are so welcoming, attentive and caring. My friends who dined with me felt the same.

What an absolutely amazing meal!
The personal service we received was second to none. With a thoughtful and thorough explanation of the menu, there are many gluten free and vegetarian options available.
We happened to meet the owner, who was kind and knowledgeable, explained some of the cuisines and helped us order a meal that will be remembered for years to come.
If you like amazing food, you have to stop here.
