Salud (Fleet st)

Salud is an absolute gem in Portsmouth. I work downtown and I love having access to not only a phenomenal salad spot but just such wonderful employees. Michelle is so kind and goes above and beyond every time. Sometimes I just pop my head in to say hi! Also, for Celiacs, this is the spot. Michelle will actually look up each ingredient and sauce on her computer to share an ingredient list with you so you know what you can and can’t eat. My mom is a very very sensitive celiac and she feels confident eating at salud (loves the Buffalo Chicken Bowl!)

Genuinely cannot recommend this place enough. The salads are all incredible (especially the Greek cobb!), well priced especially for downtown Portsmouth, and HUGE. One of them is easily 2-3 full meals for me. I didn’t try the smoothies but the ones on the menu look delicious and I can’t wait to go back for one! The owner is so friendly, and she informed us that nearly everything is gluten free, most of it homemade :) I haven’t had croutons in so long so was especially excited about that lol! Cute shop, great atmosphere, incredible food and service - this is undoubtedly going to be a new go-to lunch spot for me.
