San Marcos Mexican Restaurant - Raleigh

I was excited to try this place because they had 2 dedicated vegan options, that also just galen to be gluten free. I could either get the blue corn tortilla tacos or the enchiladas. Both came with nopales (cactus) and black beans. I chose the tacos, simply becauseI'm not typically a big fan of green tomatillo sauce, which was on the enchiladas. The tacos were very good and extremely filling. I feel they could have used more veggies in them and less beans though, for my personal preference, because the beans are pretty salty. We also got the guac and chips as an appetizer, and the guac was pretty darn good! I decided to try their Cadillac Margarita and was happy I did. Very flavorful and strong. Definitely not one of those weak ones with the electric neon green fake mix I've seen at other places. The atmosphere really has some cool touches and the building itself is a fantastic architectural design. If you haven't checked this place out yet, I highly suggest it!

: AWESOME FOOD, GREAT PRICE : Easily one of the best (and underrated) Hispanic & Mexican restaurants in Raleigh. They have plenty of options for Gluten Free or vegetarian. And the meats are marinated, juicy, and well seasoned.
