10/10 recommend this restaurant!
We had Steven as a server; he exceeded all expectations, and then some! I have celiac disease which means I cannot have anything with gluten and have to be super careful with cross contamination. Steven made sure my sushi roll was prepared correctly and took the allergy seriously, which I LOVE! Usually when I go to dinner with family, I don’t order anything due to fear of cross contamination but I’m here to report that I did not have any reactions and I’m so so happy it was taken seriously! Life changing for someone who LOVES to eat out, but usually can’t. Although I live an hour away from Shaka, this will be my go-to restaurant where I can eat at. The rest of my family loved their food as well. They said the baked avocado was TO DIE FOR (Steven’s recommendation) and the sushi was just the best. They have an entire gluten-free menu (attached) and some vegan options as well. Thank you James (owner), Steven, and the rest of Shaka for making this a great experience! :) :)
