Shake Shack San Marcos

I love the burgers here, but unfortunately I took away a star 🌟 since I am celiac and cannot eat gluten and now the potatoes are fried together with the breaded shrimp and therefore they are contaminated with gluten. It is disappointing to know that if you are allergic to gluten and shrimp you would not be able to eat the potatoes, only the burger since apparently they cannot fry them alone. What a shame. As for the rest, everything was very satisfactory. I hope 🙏 this message is constructive and they improve their menu for us. Thank you

Had lunch here during a day of shopping at the outlets with my fiancee and was pleasantly surprised by the food, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant. I'm vegetarian and have a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating- even asking if it was an allergy or a preference when I asked for gluten free and informed me of cross contamination with the fries so they seemed pretty careful and informed. Gluten free bun was soft and didn't fall apart (anyone who is gluten free knows how hard this is to find) and the veggie burger was decent.
