Shaw's sushi bar & dining is located diagonally opposite Kawaguchiko Station. It offers a vegetarian set meal that includes rice bowl, tempura, fried tofu, vegetarian soup, edamame and dessert. You can request to have five pungent vegetables removed from your meal. After we sat down, the waiter brought us a pot of hot green tea. Vegetarian & Gluten-Free Menu Veggie & Gluten-Free Sushi Bowl Set (¥3500) The ingredients of the rice bowl include avocado, fried tofu slices, lettuce, red bell pepper, cucumber, ginger, minced ginger and wasabi. The bottom is sushi rice, which has a sour taste like vinegar and a chewy texture, and is very delicious. The fried tofu was topped with shredded radish and originally had chopped green onions, but since we don’t eat pungent vegetables, we asked for the green onions to be removed. The vegetarian soup tastes salty, and the ingredients include tri-color beans, green peppers and ingredients similar to lotus root. The tempura was fried crispy and had basil leaves, eggplant, red bell pepper, avocado and cucumber, with salt on the side for seasoning. The dessert is lemon-flavored bracken cake.
