Shuka offers delicious Mediterranean food and great service. The hummus is probably the best I have ever had, smooth and with a delicious garlicky flavour. Likewise, we ended up eating the tahini sauce under the falafel with a spoon because it was so good! The tarama was equally delicious, with a great balance of the smoky, creamy flavour of the Arctic char and the fresh, salty flavour of the salmon roe. For starters, I highly recommend the calamari, which was delicious, light and refreshing, providing the perfect balance to the creamy sauce, especially on a rather warm evening. I would particularly commend the staff for constantly checking that our gluten-free preferences were being respected.
