I’m sharing this to warn others who have celiac disease or a gluten allergy: Simple Eatery is not a safe place to dine if you need to avoid gluten.
I ordered the Trout dish, which is clearly marked as gluten-free on the menu. I also noted in my online order that I have a gluten allergy. Despite this, when the food arrived, I found wheat noodles mixed in with the vegetables on the plate.
At first, my partner assumed the noodles might be gluten-free since the dish was labeled that way but I knew it was a mistake. We called the restaurant, and they confirmed that the noodles were not supposed to be there and that they had “no idea” how they got into the food.
That kind of cross-contamination is extremely dangerous for anyone with gluten sensitivity, and the fact that the restaurant couldn’t explain how it happened is even more concerning.
If you need to eat gluten-free for medical reasons, I highly recommend you avoid Simple Eatery. Their handling of gluten-free orders is careless, and their lack of accountability puts people’s health at serious risk
