Smoky Mountain Brewery in Gatlinburg

We chose this restaurant initially for the gluten free options that were readily available on the menu. The waitstaff and management all took great interest making sure all of our dietary restrictions were met, with proof of ingredients, and follow up with "is this right for you" when the meal was served. Of note, the menu does list and identify all meals that are either gluten free or can be made gluten free, i.e. using either gluten free bread to a gluten free pizza crust. Three trips to the restaurant, yielding three good meals. Ranging from multiple different hamburgers, pizza, chicken/bacon cheddar sandwiches and a cheeseburger bowl. Tater tots, were exceptionally good here. Very laid back atmosphere, with attentive employees. This place does validate parking for 3 hours which was very helpful. Parking is plentiful in an open lot down the alley behind the groups of restaurants. Really glad we found this place.

Fiancé and I went here to eat after hiking on Sunday. We both agreed the atmosphere was a bit off. Before we got seated upstairs, a cook downstairs making pizza dough was staring us down like “what the h*ll are you doing here?” Once seated, we placed our orders. Our waiter was very friendly and answered questions I had regarding their gluten free options. I ended up getting their veggie philly, a salad and brocolli and he ordered a burger with some fries. The salad and brocolli were good but the veggie philly was horrible. It was doused in so much butter that it took away from the flavoring of everything on the philly (bell peppers, mushrooms, cheese). Literally all I could taste was butter that had completely saturated the bottom bun and was on the plate. I only had one bite before giving up. The waiter did check on us and once learning of our displeasure with the philly- offered to have the chef make a new one or for me to order something else- but I declined at that point because it ruined my appetite. Fiancé said his food was okay, his burger was cooked well done although he requested medium rare but otherwise his food was fine. Props to the waiter! He was attentive and checked on us multiple times throughout our lunch, so that was appreciated.
