Tasty libations in a cozy and spunky space. A local Hartfordian took me to Story and Soil and talked the shop up quite a bit before our arrival. Thankfully, the shop didn’t let his high praises down.
They boast several local coffee beans to choose from along with multiple brewing options and a small menu of food items. I didn’t notice any vegan/gluten free/specialty food items; this lack is one of the reasons I’m not awarding them a 5/5.
I was pleased to see kombucha and golden milk on the menu, demonstrating the forward thinking minds behind the shop. They also offered a wide array of dairy alternatives suitable for almost any diet.
They don’t roast beans in house, but do source from local Connecticut roasters, promoting community amongst potential competitors.
The space is cozy with several seating options indoors as well as several picnic style tables outside which are ideal when the weather in favorable.
Parking on the street is newly metered parking, so bring your quarters, but it’s well worth the parking fee to grab a drink and a seat to do some Dino sightseeing amongst the decor.
