I was afraid to come here after seeing some of the reviews but this place is great! An incredible view, the rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel restaurant is good and (gluten-free options) and you are totally in a different world here!

Our review of room 72, a Deluxe King room, will be very critical based on the night rate of $226 plus taxes and fees. First, DO NOT trust the website. There is NO Complimentary breakfast and there is a dog fee of $30. If you want a buffet breakfast at the restaurant you will pay $15.75 plus tip, it is ok and they offer a few gluten free options. You will not have access to the pool or ice maker. By the look of the signs, both have been closed for the past several months. Room 72 is not a deluxe room and not worth the nightly rate. You are paying for the location, not the actual quality. Pros: Clean sheets, some updates, and clean paint. Great staff members throughout the compound. Neutrals: A new HVAC wall unit, like a helicopter taking off in the back lot. There is only 87-Octane gas at the station, you will need to stop in Furnace Creek or Panamint for 91 or Diesel. You will only have a fitted sheet and a tropically THIN flat sheet on the bed, no quilt or comforter. There is a 90s burnt orange microfiber “blanket” in the closet but it is too small for a King and again too thin keep you warm. Negatives: Neither door to the room seals well and you will hear a constant wind noise whistle, you will also get dirt/sand through the jams. You will need to use force to open and close the entry doors, both are off and stick. In the bathroom the shower curtain is 2” short and leaks all over the floor when the water runs down. Also, in the bathroom watch your feet, the door spring is rusted and ready to add a tetanus shot to your visit. Like most areas in the room, there are unfinished projects. There is a nice vent, but the electrician did not connect the light and the painter forgot to finish painting the ceiling. From a cleanliness perspective, please clean or replace the old ceiling mounted lights, they are full of bugs and spiders. While the electrician is there, ask them to replace the bedroom fan. It has one speed, High and it has a death wobble, so you cannot use it peacefully. Throughout the property there are so many half started projects with debris laying around. Old curtains, miscellaneous hardware, frisbee golf baskets, and random trash. There is so much untapped presentation and potential to make the property feel like a three-star resort.
