Sugo Italian Restaurant

A gluten free dream! I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! The food was amazing, and the service was incredible. I’m always nervous at a new restaurant with a gluten allergy, but they were on top of it. The host was amazing, I believe his name was Christian. So nice and accommodating. I was so impressed with the staff everyone was kind and friendly and on top of every order! The caprese salad was perfectly dressed, definitely a fave. I got chicken parm and my husband got salmon and we shared! So so good. The cheesy polenta was amazing too! If you are gluten free this is an amazing restaurant in Tuscaloosa!

This place was amazing! We sat at the bar and Johnathon and Noah were such great bartenders/servers. Their menu is smaller but they have a lot of gluten free options that are indicated by an asterisk. My husband got the Sugo Salmon which was delicious. I got the Gorgonzola Cavatappi which was also amazing! We also got a couple of cocktails which were really good as well! We will DEFINITELY be coming back!!

A bit pricey. A friend with celiac got two different responses about gluten in their bolognese sauce. Why is there gluten in there? Good portions. Good flavors. Tiramisu could be improved. Can be a bit noisy.
