Outstanding brunch options. Be sure to use the online waiting list as the venue is popular. Nice river view. Great food with lots of options and gluten free friendly.
The manager of this restaurant does a phenomenal job with customers. Their pizza is delicious and they offer great gluten-free crust. I’m a fan of the build-your-own salads. There are multiple options for just about anyone (including kids) and any diet (gluten free, vegan, keto, and many others). I frequent this restaurant often and love coming back.
For chain pizza it's one of my favorites. The pretzels are amazing and they have a really good gluten free option for my wife. Never disappointed at Tuscaloosa's mellow mushroom
Great option for those that are gluten-free and on a budget. Build-your own options are great, as well as the pre-made available items. Parking is tough, but there are options around the back. Not a great place for parties over 6 or 8.
SO SO GOOD!! My family all has a gluten allergy including my celiacs for some of us. The food was delicious! It would be nice if they had gf bread especially for those biscuits they bring out but everything we ate was very good! The waitress helped me figure out how to order from the kids menu since nothing was gf. Meat was all delicious. I got brisket, husband got smoked wings, one kid got smoked turkey and others got the bbq chicken.
My boyfriend and I order Taziki's very often and they always provide exceptional quality and amazing service! I was extremely impressed when they checked to see if I had a gluten allergy (since I checked the "no pita" option). They pay great attention to detail!
I was impressed that after the lunch rush, a worker came along to change out the utensils in every salad bar item! Nice variety of choices. My husband had no difficulty in eating gluten-free. My adult daughter gave the tomato-basil soup a B+. And you can't beat the free ice cream!
Love this restaurant, come here at least once a week. Affordable for a college student and great food. I’m gluten free and the staff is very understanding.
Great coffee and great staff. I am celiac and ordered a byob and didn’t realize it included granola. When I got my food I told the staff I didn’t order granola and that I am celiac and they quickly offered to remake it for me. As someone with this disease I greatly appreciate companies that understand how serious it is for me and they were so fast and friendly to accommodate! I will be back for sure!
I am celiac so it is it extremely difficult to find restaurants who can manage my food allergy. I have ordered this for pick-up and got the eggs Benedict (without the English muffin) and it is absolutely delicious! I will continue to be a customer as I know this food is safe for me to eat without any reaction. They have a good understanding of celiac/ gluten allergies.
I have to eat gluten free, so it is very difficult to find a place that has good gluten free options. I ordered the BBQ and potato cakes. It was very nicely played and tasted fabulous! Will definitely be back.
Cozy up to a wonderfully comfy window bench seat and take in the view of passersby while the owner of this establishment warms you up with her friendly demeanor & smile mailing you feel.like you're a guest in her home. Meanwhile, your veganish vittles are being
artfully composed in the kitchen using some surprisingly vegan ingredients.
The owner has really done her homework on the best dairy, gluten & meat free options while still offering a few meats for those who aren't ready for the plant based plunge! I don't know how she uses such high quality ingredients for the prices she charges.
P.S. Whatever you do, don't order the Strawberry Smoothie. It's the yummiest I have EVER and I don't want you to order them all !
Leaving the same review I left on Yelp!
Met friends here after the Bama/AU game. We were afraid there would be a wait, but thankfully word had not spread on how good this place is! Y’all need to get there! So thankful they offer gluten free pasta! Everything was delicious and full of flavor. Our only issue, the pizzas weren’t strong enough for the sauce and toppings! I guess that’s a good problem to have? The outside edges of the crust were nice and crispy, but the underneath was pretty flimsy. Not sure if the heat needed to be higher or they needed to cook longer. Also, seasoned dipping oil for the bread would have been nice. The Cannolis and Black Forest Cheesecake were so good!
Overall, we had a great experience when we went. Don’t sleep on this place!
Unique vibe - it's in converted church - sets this restaurant and bar apart. High ceilings, sound-absorbing drapes, mood lighting, upholstered booths, eclectic decor with royal and art deco flourishes. For those who remember 301 in Tuscaloosa, it's a bit of that, only more cavernous. Cute back patio with a lawn and a small stage, in addition to a performance stage in the main indoor dining area. Massive screen above the bar for watching the big game. Whether this place is good for a classy date night or an over-decorated sports bar depends on how often that screen gets used.
The tapas style small dishes provide variety and accommodates vegetarian and gluten free diets. Two of us split the bacon wrapped dates, street corn dip, fried cauliflower, croquettes, and sausage stuffed mushrooms. Very good but not top-tier elite cuisine. Terrific cocktails, not outrageously expensive. Good location that's set back from crowded downtown but not too remote. Definitely worth a try!
