Surf is truly a gem in downtown Whitby. If you’re looking for a place to grab some excellent cocktails and amazing SoCal style small plates and shareables, this is where you wanna be. They do a feature cocktail each week to keep it fresh (which you can find on their Insta) and everything they serve is made in-house (plus, their entire menu is 100% gluten free). The staff are all super friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to the drinks and food. If you come by in the summer they have a really beautiful back patio, too. All around just a really amazing place that you should check out if you’re looking for a nice cocktail bar/restaurant in Durham.

It's a small restaurant but the atmosphere is good. They have nice cocktails. The food menu is very small, but it also catered to vegetarians and vegans, and the whole menu is gluten-free.
