Swizzle Dinner & Drinks

This was my second time at swizzle and I was so disappointed! I went to swizzle a couple years ago, where I got engaged and had the best steak!! I went back for my daughters 20th birthday and was very disappointed ☹️ to start our waitress had no idea what gluten was and my daughter has celiac disease and must eat gluten-free so that was a challenge, figuring out what my daughter could eat. The food was mediocre, and when myself and my family ordered our steaks, medium rare, the waitress immediately, let us know that the chef sometimes has a hard time getting it, medium rare and doesn’t cook it enough and it may need to be cooked more and if we need to send it back, that was OK… Mind you this was when we ordered! This was very discouraging when you’re spending $59 on a steak! Our bill was over $300 and the best thing we had was fries (the crab cakes were decent) Great atmosphere for going and having some drinks after dinner… But that’s about it.

I just want to say a personal thanks to our waiter Peter. Our dinner was fantastic! The steak and pork tomahawk were cooked to perfection. We were celebrating a birthday and we have gluten allergies... Peter had the chef put some berries and cream together. I can't say enough about that. Usually we are out of luck in the dessert department but he knocked out out of the park. This is where it gets really good though. Peter bagged our leftovers in the kitchen. Upon returning with our check he informed us that before the leftovers were boxed someone accidentally threw them out. Peter then let's me know they are remaking the steak. I was shocked! They were leftovers that didn't mean that much to me but Peter said not today! We can't thank Peter and the whole Swizzle staff enough. Thanks for making our birthday celebration above and beyond.
