This was lovely. As a human with gluten intolerance it gets old feeling like I have to apologize for asking what the ingredients are and explaining why and what half the time in restaurants. Here, everything is clearly marked, our waiter asked about preferences right up front and was able to say what menu items to avoid and how other menu items could be easily modified. He was fantastic. The food and cocktails were delicious as was the ambience.
Service and atmosphere of the bar was great! Very nice people. The regular bread sliders were pretty good (I'm told). The gluten free bread was just okay. Taste and texture akin to an undercooked homemade biscuit, but it was certainly better than no option at all! We had banana pork, halloumi, and venison & pork. The pork was the standout - very good! I can only imagine how delicious the pork belly is. They have gf fryers for the tators and fries, but everything else is fried in the shared fryer. There were a couple options that were technically gf but were in the shared fryer; so they were cross contaminated. Service staff were great! They answered all my questions and were very accommodating. Not sure why Google lists this as a "new American" restaurant. It seems to very clearly be a Nordic restaurant of some sort...?

Shelby (with the awesome hair) was our server on our first visit. She helped us pick menu items that could be adjusted to be gluten-free, and she was spot-on about the amount of food two ladies needed for lunch. Appreciated that!
Doc Crow’s has the most number of reviews (+4,000 as of 4/2025) and they are all consistently high. Plus, I was in a hotel around the corner - definitely had to stop by. Ate at the bar. Great atmosphere - plenty of bourbon and beer for you to choose from.
They have a dedicated gluten free menu - a photo is attached. All the meats and the obvious sides are okay - as are the wings. Got the wings and the ribs.
I did politely ask if I could sample a small piece of brisket and was told my only option was to “order the sampler platter.” It’s great that they have that - but I’m not interested in sampling pulled pork or chicken. My preference is beef brisket and ribs.
The ribs fell off the bone. The wings were good - nothing special. The baked beans were really good. The guy next to me was unhappy with the food, as he doesn’t like dry rub style and prefers lots of sauce, and he doesn’t like fatty brisket - they charge $2 for lean brisket and I guess he didn’t go for it. Again, I didn’t get to try the brisket and there is no ability to order just meat, and there are no 2 or 3 meat combo plates.
Live in the neighborhood right next door and have been coming ever since they opened. Called this place our second kitchen. Went through a rough patch with service around covid but this place has bounced back. Great bartender (Justin), great food, gluten-free options, it’s our second kitchen again!
This was our first time at a Carrabbas in 20 years. Having Celiac I was impressed with how many gluten free options they had. I got the pollo Rosa Maria and it was very salty. The manager walked by and asked how our meal was and I mentioned it was great but over salted. I love salty food but even for me it was a lot. I was surprised that she comped my meal and offered to get me something else. I still ate most of it and used the mashed potatoes to cover up the saltiness.
The ambiance and cleanliness was great! Our server didn’t seem like he liked his job very much and his tone made it sound like he was bored and didn’t love his job. My husband even cracked a joke about it after he took our order.
All in all, I think we’ll go back again to try it out another time.

Visit # 3, we went today to use our inkind app cash back and to try the gluten free desserts by the Silly Axe Cafe as I have to have GF. The GF pina colada tiramisu was good but a very small portion for $9. We also got the cookies and cream cake slice for $9. Do not get this. It tastes awful. I know the GF desserts can have a different taste and I'm used to it but this was not good. Stay with the pina colada tiramisu.
Visit # 2, was with our kids and they liked the golf.
Visit# 1, First time trying South Seas. It was my husband's birthday today so we wanted something new. Everything was great! Drinks were awesome, a little pricy though. I had the Blue Hawaiian and Miami Vice. My husband had 2 of the beers on tap. Bartender was very knowledgeable. He was great to chat with. Queso and chips app was really good. Husband had the Cali double burger and I had the Duke breakfast.
I had a wonderful experience here last weekend! With Celiac disease it's sometimes hard to find a place that's safe for me to eat, but the server and the manager of Proof On Main both assured me of how seriously they take food allergies. It meant the world for the manager to take the time to speak with us. My meal was delicious and it was even better knowing that they care about food allergy safety! Next time I'm in the city we will definitely be back.

Be prepared to spend money, but be prepared to eat in one of the finest restaurants in Louisville. The food is exceptional. Service is impeccable. Our waiter overheard us discussing our future grandchild (due 2023) and presented the expectant parents with a cute onesie and bibs. My husband has gluten allergies and they immediately presented him with a gluten free menu. If you have the opportunity I highly recommend this restaurant.
Caitlin was an EXCELLENT sever, and it was funny to try all the sauces. Very good GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS. Big plus! Big fan of the smoky ketchup and the campfire mayo. The queso is some of the best american restaurant queso i’ve had recently, and they gave such a big bowl. Chips were great too!
Excellent service, delicious food, a variety of Italian options, and a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy friends. Both meals I’ve had here have been awesome; there’s also the option of whole wheat or gluten free pastas.
Gluten free breakfast! I was so happy to find this place during my stay. It was pricey but, I had a kale and tomato omelette, gluten free toast (toasted on a cookie sheet in the oven to avoid the toaster) and mint berries. Worth the money and I did not feel sick!
The food was ok but overpriced. I had a burger and tator tots, which was $18. It's not overpriced, but I'd expect better for that price. The thing that pissed me off was the nickel and dime pricing on everything else. They charged me $2 extra for soda on a, already Very profitable $13 Buffalo trace, so sleezy. My wife got a black bean burger. They charged me $2 for the gluten free bun And an extra $1 for vegan cheese. Neither of which we were informed prior to the bill.
Mixed drink are niiiicely poured.
The gluten-free pizza is amazing! Cool vibe and music. Customer service is friendly. Highly recommend especially for gluten free pizza, it's the bomb.
Mike was great. Thanks for suggesting the broccoli crust pizza. It was great. Nice thin crispy crust. I like the pizza sauce also. Lots of options such as gluten free or crustless pizza.
A celiac can eat here. The servings are huge& the staff caring. Take out is extremely well done here. Outside seating.Dog friendly. I really recommend Joy Luck.
Great restaurant with amazing burgers. My only issue is that it cost $150 for a family of 6 to eat here. Having celiac disease, I did love all the options they have and a gf burger bun that’s actually good!
We had great experience tonight the server Victoria was AMAZING !! Was not disappointed at all !!! Food was fantastic , we had a gluten allergy in our group and it was handled great !!! Thank you #blindsquirrelrestaurant #blindsquirrel #buzzybooth
Good pizza, but they insist on putting the gluten free crust pizza on foil, so it’s soggy by the time it gets home. Even when asked, they refuse to put it in the box without the foil.
A celiac CAN eat here; there are only 2 or 3 options, though: the nachos, mock burger, and possibly vegetarian chili. They are obsessed with pork here, which is a turn off. Very loud, noisy, though there is outdoor seating I have been here a couple of times.
Such a great lunch today at Tim Tam Tavern! I had the Hawaiian pizza and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. I’m glad I chose the personal pizza (four thin slices) instead of the full 12 inch pizza because I wouldn’t have been able to stop eating it! Others in our group got the Gluten Free veggie pizza and a BLT with German potato salad. None of us left any food on our plates! Service was very friendly and fast. The prices were great too. This is going to be dangerous having so close to my work, but I will definitely be returning!
Delicious food and great atmosphere! Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and was able to suggest items that were gluten free and items to stay away from because of cross contamination. The steaks were juicy and flavorful. There was garlic butter on top of the salmon that enhanced the flavor. I'm not a corn eater, but the rest of the table raved about the creamed corn (even recommended it to the table next to us). We were bot a big fan of the brussel sprouts and would try the asparagus next time, but the mushrooms had great flavor too! Gosh, and then the desserts; the chocolate cake could be shared between at least 3 people, and the bread pudding was the favorite at our table for those that were gluten free!

Such a cool and welcoming place! As a non pet owner we ADORED being able to come in and play with all the friendly doggos and meet their hoomans! From the "barktenders" to the "bark rangers" everyone was extremely friendly. They even had Gluten free hard ciders on dedicated taps to include those with allergies/celiac disease! We only meant to spend an hour or two as a visit, ended up spending closer to 7 hours there! Loved that they had trivia that evening. Super fun!
Arrived on a Friday night with party of 13 and they quickly accommodated our large party. Our server was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed and with a timely manner. Food was hot and good. Portions are smaller than expected compared to other places however was plenty enough food to fill you up. Good selection of menu items, sauces, and easily able to accommodate gluten free. Beautiful locations in a great area for downtown activities. We will definitely be back.
This place is AMAZING!!! I have celiacs disease and they went ABOVE and BEYOND the manager helped with the menu and personally made my food . The server Ashley had such amazing hospitality amd so personable!! Food was super delicious !! This is a Must try !!!

This was my second time at swizzle and I was so disappointed! I went to swizzle a couple years ago, where I got engaged and had the best steak!! I went back for my daughters 20th birthday and was very disappointed ☹️ to start our waitress had no idea what gluten was and my daughter has celiac disease and must eat gluten-free so that was a challenge, figuring out what my daughter could eat. The food was mediocre, and when myself and my family ordered our steaks, medium rare, the waitress immediately, let us know that the chef sometimes has a hard time getting it, medium rare and doesn’t cook it enough and it may need to be cooked more and if we need to send it back, that was OK… Mind you this was when we ordered! This was very discouraging when you’re spending $59 on a steak! Our bill was over $300 and the best thing we had was fries (the crab cakes were decent) Great atmosphere for going and having some drinks after dinner… But that’s about it.
Wow! Amazing place!! The food (the white pizza with jam and prosciutto was to die-for!!), drinks (I had 3 Northern Lights Mocktails with actual glitter!!), and atmosphere were just awesome! This place knows how to serve up a good time with really delicious food! And the owner and staff are super nice! I’ll be back for sure! 10/10!!
Oh and they even had gluten-free pizzas!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Found this unique coffee shop this morning after finishing a 5K run! Has a vintage type decor and includes pinball machines in the back! Coffee was excellent and a big bonus was macaroons, which are GLUTEN FREE!
