Love the pastries at the cafe, I’d drive over there just for them whenever the cravings hit!! Favs include: carrot cake with crispy top (gluten free but you wouldn’t know it from how moist and delicious it is, no wonder they always sell out), pan au chocolates, conchas either seasonal fillings (my fav has been mocha cream), seasonal croissants (currently with peach and cream). They serve delicious Brash coffee as well. Restaurant side is always crowded, but when able to plan ahead with s reservation, it’s a nice place to brunch / lunch after walking through Chastain Park. Chicken schnitzel with spinach spaetzle is fantastic. Valet parking is complimentary.

We went to The Chastain last night for my birthday dinner. I made the reservation based on a fantastic experience I had in November for my daughter's birthday. The server definitely makes the experience. Our server for that dinner was wonderful. This time, the experience was not the best. Food was great, but we were sat in a forgotten cold corner in the tent. The traffic was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. I had put on my reservation that I was gluten free. Our server had no idea. When we were there in November, our server came to us with full knowledge of our dietary concerns. Service was long, 15 to 20 minutes between each time she came to the table starting with when we were seated.

Visited 8/18/24 Went for brunch on a Sunday, and it doesn't get much better than this for brunching! Beautiful outdoor patio for eating outside. Awesome brunch menu that makes it hard to decide, but that only makes you vow to come back and try everything. I got the Pesto Chicken sandwich with a side of bacon and the home style potatoes and my wife got the Heirloom Tomato BLT on gluten free bread. Everything was amazing! Completely worth the slightly more expensive price on everything. We also got some zero-proof drinks, the Peaches & Mint one, and it was a perfect balance of mint and peach and too overly sweet by most peoples standards (probably a tad over mine but I usually order unsweetened tea, so I know I'm not the best judge 😆). I could eat that Pesto Chicken sandwich everyday though, so good! We even ordered a bunch of pastries to-go which they brought out well before the end of our meal. Yeah it may be a bit pricey, but totally worth every penny! Highly recommend 💯👍
