Taco Temple is the best taco joint in Asheville. And I'm from Austin, Texas, so I know tacos. They have fresh, healthy options as well as decadent ones, and everything can be accommodated for a Gluten Free and/or Dairy Free diet (although probably not for Celiacs with cross contamination). Great Guacamole and salsa options, too, as well as a great variety of sides and salads. It's counter service, which is fast and easy, and the indoor and outdoor seating is charming and cheerful. Great place for a casual first date! They also have a drive through window pick up for take-out (order ahead of time), which is super convenient and pretty quick. When I'm missing Austin noms, this is where I go.

I love TT. They quality is superb. The tacos are tasty and interesting. Margaritas totally depend on the person making them, but they are always made with fresh ingredients. I wish that they had a dedicated fryer for the chips so that they are gluten-free. The tables are often not wiped down well. The aguas frescas are delicious.
