Nice selection of gluten free pastries!

I cannot say that the taste of the food is bad, I cannot say that the prices for the food is bad, what I can say is that perhaps a year to a year and a half ago I was introduced to their gluten, friendly avocado, breakfast sandwich and I LOVE loved it. I would get a hankering for it quite often and put it in regular rotation. Unfortunately, in the last six months or so I’ve ordered from this particular Tatte several times and I’m not sure if they’ve gotten the order right once. In several instances, they gave me the regular breakfast sandwich (which has pork on it, fortunately, I’m not Halal or kosher) But in other instances, the bread has been visibly burned and tasted burned or I’ve arrived at the store to pick up my order and there was no order for me to pick up at all. This last time I ordered it, the bread was genuinely the texture of a crouton. I keep going back, hoping it gets better like it used to be but it seems like there’s a lack of operational consistency across stores, so I reluctantly will probably no longer have to be a repeat customer. Unfortunate dilemma for a chain that is scaling so quickly.

Love this place, came here everyday of our weekend break in DC. Buzzy but not in your face/loud. Also have gluten free menu (ask at the counter) & “gluten friendly” options including cakes which is a real treat.
